    If you are trying to connect to a MySQL Database on a remote server across multiple VLANs, the connection in Web Help Desk will time-out. Opening up port 3306 will not resolve the issue. If you server is Windows based you need to open up the port ranges below on your ACL with respect to your server OS.

    Windows through Server 2003: Ports in range 1025–5000
    Windows Vista, Server 2008, and newer: Ports in range 49152–65535

    These are used as listening ports by Windows to avoid conflicts.
